If you’ve never done any sword-based combat before, and/or don’t already have a suitable lightsaber, joining an introduction course is the best way to go. We hold introduction courses regularly throughout the year, in a small group multi-session format that ensures you’ll learn quickly, safely, and have plenty of fun along the way. 

Our COMBAT course runs for 4x 2hr sessions, and covers all you need to know to be able to successfully and safely duel in competitive lightsaber combat matches. All safety equipment is provided, and the course fee includes your very own combat-ready lightsaber to keep forever!

Our CHOREO course also runs for 4x2hr sessions, and in it you will learn the basics of staged lightsaber fighting, including developing and performing your own “dance of death” with a partner or two! Using The Force, disarming and overpowering your opponent for the screen are some of the things you’ll learn in this non-contact version of lightsaber sport. As with the Combat course, the fee includes your own lightsaber to keep if you don’t already have one.

We are pleased to announce the beginning of Anchorhead Jedi Academy, an after-school kids lightsaber sport club, opening its Temple doors in April 2024. In this club, Younglings (10-13) and Padawans (14-17) will have the opportunity to learn every aspect of lightsaber sport as part of their journey to become a Jedi, in a structured and supportive environment.
